Oregon Clean Energy Map

The City of Portland has launched a Web site that lets you zoom in on a satellite image of your rooftop to determine whether it’s a good candidate for solar panels. The Oregon Clean Energy Map uses icons to show where solar power and solar thermal water heaters are installed, and lists, residential, commercial and schools. Oregonians who assume that the amount of sunlight is insufficient are wrong. We get about as much sunlight as Germany, which was the early global leader in solar power.
